For my final project I want to create several different collage images inspired by the work of Hannah Hoch. I want to combine both analog and digital photographs that I have left from work in other classes by scanning or uploading them to photoshop and then collaging them to create a different yet cohesive piece similar to Hoch's collage work. Below are some examples of some digital images I'm considering using followed by her work.
I like the direction that you're choosing to go in. I think that you can pull off something inspired by Hannah's work and hope that you continue to use subtle psychedelic imagery. How do you plan to make your piece look collage-like and figurative?
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool idea. I like the images that you choose. They captured my eye before even reading the prompt. I am wondering how close to her style you art trying to get. I would suggest getting a few more images.

ReplyDeleteCollages are so fun! For some reason these remind me of a circus or traveling performers, maybe because they're so busy. I like the idea and I'm curious if you want to create a convincing world through this method or create an imaginary space.
ReplyDeleteInterested to see where this goes! The nice thing about photoshop is being able to cut and paste as many times as you like without repercussion. Take advantage of this and make a lot of stuff. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Thanks for introducing me to this artist.
ReplyDeleteReally cool concept! Do you plan on doing all the collage elements on Photoshop or are you going to actually cut the images up and collage them, could be interesting to do a combination of both

ReplyDeleteI love the direction and concept you're going with! I'm interested in seeing what it'll look like. My only concern is that it might turn out like a photo collage, but if done correctly I can it as being a really cool environment
ReplyDeleteThe proj. proposal seems like its of to a strong start. Searching through the works of Hannah Hock were a good place to start. The example images were interesting, refined, and if this is what you already have, I can't wait to see your final images.
